Until The Next Insurmountable Mountain

"Impossible".
"Can't".
"Certainly Not".
"Unsustainable"
"Unrealistic"
"Not Important"

We've heard them, time and time again, use these words, and so many others like them, to describe our dreams, visions, goals, ambitions.

They've told us, with eloquent elucidation, precisely why we can't do what we want to do.

"You'll never win the pageant, she's obviously prettier than you".

"You can't beat them, they have far more experience than you do".

"This is how it's always been done, you can't do it any other way".

Good thing we're selectively deaf.

We can't hear them talk, 'cos we've got headphones on and set to the loudest. In fact all I can hear is Nas screaming "I know I can...".

We'll climb those mountains, cross those rivers, jump over those walls.

"Nuthin's gone stop us, we're all the way up".

So, as we gather here to celebrate another milestone reached, glasses raised, filled with that wine from our dreams,
We made it. Enjoy your champagne(or Bailey's😂), but please, remember we've still got a few more mountains to beat.

So, until our next gathering, when we reach the peak of yet another "insurmountable" mountain, I remain,

Yours Truly,
A Fellow Climber.
