The Situation of Things

Getting to work today was a real challenge. A taxi from the city centre to the part of town my office is in cost A Hundred And Fifty Naira!!! Two weeks ago the normal fare was 80 Naira. That's an 87.5% increase in the fare. And it wasn't a gradual increase at all! I went to bed with the price at 80 Naira and woke up to see it was 150! I should have stayed in bed!
