DAY OF LOVE

AT ONE PART OF THE EARTH, the sweet aroma of pancakes wakes her up from the dream she almost thought was reality. She opens one eye and then the other but not before her nostrils had enough of the pancakes. Her heart races fast pumping more blood than normal, she bites her lips to be sure she isn't still dreaming.

Rose petals over the floor through the door and down the stairs as she follows the petals. This can't be she tells herself repeatedly and there he is seated right across the table. Hot love shaped pancakes and freshly squeezed fruit juice right in front of her as she looks at him without a word to utter. Happy val my love he says to her smiling from his eyes she couldn't hold it in so she let it out, her face was hot and her eyes wet, I love you Jay she said "I couldn't ask God for a better man" as she walked over and gave him a tight hug...

THE UTMOST END OF THE EARTH, she wakes up feeling so tired and drained from Mondays work load, walks over to her computer and begins forwarding some mails from yesterday. Then a random mail comes in oh look! it's John. They met on Tinder two weeks ago and have come in facial contact about five times since then. He sends her a message after exchanging pleasantries telling her to step out to her front door

She does and there he is with a box of chocolate,red roses and some other designer bags full of goodies. She is surprised and happy hugs him and invites him in for breakfast after which he heads of but not before they fix dinner for 7:30pm. At the same time he picks her up in a red Maserati she's always admired and unknown to her he had rented earlier that day. On getting to a five star restaurant she places her order comfortably while she thinks to herself he's got everything I need but I'm not in for commitment, he also thinks I've got her falling in love with me. After the date he drops her at home and retires as well after a good night kiss...

DAY AFTER LOVE

She wakes up right next to her man bright and happy. No he didn't get her no fancy date or jewelry, chocolates or flowers, fancy ride or expensive restaurant meal but he just showed her how much he loved her with the littlest of things. This may sound crazy to you as everyone looks forward to Valentines day as a day to have fun and lavish but he understands that love isn't about the fanciful things alone but the sacrifice.

He left his beauty sleep just to see that burning smile on her face and to rekindle the love in their relationship although his pancake may not be so good but when she eats it she has so much joy and peace of mind and she understands that the act doesn't really matter but the motive. So they are both up and ready for the day, not in debt or fear of losing each other but their love is burning brightly like a flare.

...She's up and ready for the days work as she gets a text from John but she doesn't reply. At mid-day she respond to texts from the morning telling him how she enjoyed the other day and the superb meal she also narrates a bit about how she doesn't really need a man in her life at the moment but she'd surely love to have him around. On his own side he flips out gets red and boiled up with anger.

Why would she let me go this far before going straight to the point. He then remembers how much debt he had run into trying to impress her. Of course he didn't feel like he'd met up to her standard if he did things the casual way so he decided to step up his game and now he's been rejected. In order to clear of his debts he'll need three months of hard work but till then he has to eat from hand to mouth. He thinks to himself she can't get away with this, at least I've got to get up in there I'd go talk to some guys that hang around we could plot something and good thing she comes home late from work...

Someone said ''when you're in love, everyday should be valentines day" and I agree with that. For John, he acknowledged the day so much as a day of love although Jay did but he knew better, that it wasn't about the day but the purpose of the day.
