VENI, VIDI, VICI. - MMXVII

Veni, vidi, vici" ("I came; I saw; I conquered") is a Latin phrase popularly attributed to Julius Caesar who, according to Appian, used the phrase in a letter to the Roman Senate around 47 BC after he had achieved a quick victory in his short war against Pharnaces II of Pontus at the Battle of Zela. The phrase is used to refer to a swift, conclusive victory.

In 2017, I fought battles, a whole lot of them.

Went through fire and even hell, got depressed due to my many challenges and even contemplated suicide.

I was on an all-time low; went through hard times that I was too young to handle, got into situations that were too tough and too hard to get out from. Searched so earnestly and desperately for “true” love but found none.

Almost dropped out of school, got kicked out of literally every examination hall, wasn’t enlisted among graduands, stayed up most nights and cried myself to sleep on the other nights.

But Look at me now! More successful than ever – Continental record holder for youngest valedictorian and a published author.

Indeed, the world belongs to the unflinching, the bold!

It belongs to those who would stay strong and work as hard and as smart as they can to reach for the best.

I’ve said it repeatedly that without battles there would be no victories.

This year, I recorded my highest recognition, awards, achievements and victories than ever but I also went through the worst situations and faced the most terrible challenges I have ever encountered.

In the end, people only see the blessings and not the blisters.
So don’t be scared of the fire, because when you come out, you’ll be Gold.

As for my 2018, God knows, it will be lit! And from how I see it, it will replace 2017 as my “best year yet”.

I’ll be the talk of the town and blow people’s minds (mine too)

As for the hard times, “Bring it on!” I am the champ! I can handle it. As usual, I’ll win because that’s all I know how to do.

And as Julius Caesar said in his letter to the Roman Senate, I now say to 2017 “Veni, Vidi, Vici!”

You can now start the next revolution!

Oh!

Wait!

I think I forgot to mention! 🤔

Uhmm…

Next year,

I’m not just going to be exceedingly successful, I’m definitely gonna be rich and famous too. 😀

I own 2018.

So help me God.
